Rick and Mike have their work cut out for them on this new project. A 1961 Impala that has seen better days. Looks like almost half of the car was scrapped out, or should have been.

The Lemans gets finished out and appraised by a professional.

The Impala's not that bad... O.K., yeah it is. But it'll be cool as hell when it's done!!!

You and Ian are the worst at this. You guys are like a highschool prom date. You get us all worked up about things then tell us that we have to wait.

Thanks Buddy
Mike

At least Ian posted a photo here for us once. \:\)

I know where I'll be parked on Saturday. The old recliner in front of the TV.

Vacation is getting paid for staying at home.

The LeMans ended up sitting too low, and the tires rubbed on the fenders if you turned it too far. We're in the process of putting stock control arms back on the front to raise it up an inch. Otherwise we would have driven it more, and the burnouts woulda' been more wild! (can't steer into a slide when you can't turn!) The Impala is being built with more driveability in mind, and a tire-smoking, 4-wheel drift shot has been promised to the producers! It'll also have around 200 more ponies than the Pontiac, so tossing it around won't be a problem. I can't wait to throw that whale around! But we have a problem. We can't find some parts. I'm hoping you guys can help me find front and rear valances, and all four window regulator assemblies, complete with the part that attaches to the glass.

Arsonist, Seriously, is this what you need? Or is there something missing?

close, we actually need the part that attached to the glass also. for all four windows. The rust in that thing is crazy! Part of the problem is that it's that weird roof style. They called it the "canopy top" and they didn't make too many of 'em.

Oh, well, in that case, bring on the '61 Impala. It better be one hell of a test drive then. I liked the Lemans test drive, thats the best test drive I've seen on the powerblock shows after Stacey left. Cant wait to see the Impala done, hopefully everything works out!!!!

Thanks for the compliment- Since we only get to drive 'em once or three times after they're done I swore there'd never be a MuscleCar project parked in the warehouse without molten rubber smeared down the quarters! The Impala is coming together great, but we really need those parts I mentioned earlier. Those could be a hang-up. We're also starting another new project today, and when it's done it should hang the front wheels past the 60-foot mark! It'll be unlike anything seen yet on the powerblock!
