We lost hot rod icon Boyd Coddington yesterday , he was 63 yo .
I may not of cared for him or his TV show , but he was a hotroder at heart .

I don't recall of ever hearing of him.

He had the show called " American Hotrod " on Discorvey or TLC channel .
I could hardly watch it as it was a train wreck of a show , as they tried to make to much like the Teutul's on American chopper .
These guys built $250K to $500K hot rods and acted very UN-Professional !!!!!

Boyd has been building state of the art hot rods for around 20-25 years , by the way

63 is way to young to kick it. After all that he went through with the investigations into VIN swapping in the 90's he really go the shop back in order. Boyd honestly designs my personal favourite style of rims. I do like his cars but the show did not do any service for the image of his shop.

Yes. sorry to hear he is gone, I was not a big fan of him, but I did respect the guy!!!!

I think they created a lot of controversy for the camera. His cars were the best though. Couple of things you may or may not know... Chip Foose (Overhaulin) and Jesse James (bike builder) both worked for Boyd earlier in their careers.
